The Society's year starts with the Autumn Show in September (don't ask; the reason is lost in the mists of time) and runs for the full 12 months. We do not take a summer break. |

When putting together a year's programme, our Programme Secretary aims to create a mix of events which includes something that appeals to and interests each and every member at some point in the year - visiting lecturers and in-house events; orchids in the wild and in cultivation; general beginners' stuff and more specialised items for the experienced growers - plus semi-formal meetings and social events. He always welcomes members' suggestions. |

The majority of our monthly events are meetings held at the Bournemouth Natural Science Society (BNSS), 39 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth BH1 3NS (between the town centre and Boscombe), usually on the last Friday monthly starting at 7.30 p.m. Quite a few activities are packed into the evening, general details of which are available here . . . |

Other regular events are our highly regarded Spring and Autumn Shows (usually the last Saturdays of February and September) and social events (Garden Party in July, and Christmas Lunch in December). |
